Entercom has announced the expansion of "Puro Tejano Fierro HD," a RADIO.COM Original Station, to KLOL-FM-HD3 (Mega 101 HD2)/Houston. The station initially launched in November, 2015 on KMVK-FM-HD2 (La Grande 107.5) and RADIO.COM, as the first 24-hour Tejano station in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Additionally, Bo Corona has been added as an afternoon host.

"Tejano music has always been immensely popular and deeply rooted within our community and I am excited to welcome Puro Tejano Fierro HD, one of the top streaming stations on RADIO.COM, to Houston," said Entercom Houston Senior Vice President and Market Manager Sarah Frazier. "The station's nationwide reach via RADIO.COM makes it easier for Tejano fans all over the country to stay connected through this beloved genre."

"I am thrilled to be a part of the Fierro team and to be able to bring Tejano music back to Houston," added Corona. "This music genre has always been a strong part of our culture, and to be able to join J.D. ["Bo Leo" Gonzalez, on-air host, Puro Tejano Fierro HD] and his team in cultivating that vision here in Houston is a dream come true. I couldn't be more excited."

Corona was an integral part of the Puro Tejano Fierro HD launch in Houston. Previously, he led the production management team for Entercom Houston. He's a 30-year Texas radio veteren, having worked as an on-air host for KPRR-FM/El Paso, KTFM-FM/San Antonio and KXTJ-FM & KQQK-FM/Houston. Corona also helped launch KXTN-FM (now KVBH-FM) in San Antonio, where he also anchored the morning show.

With the addition of Corona, the station now features on-air hosts from three different locations in Texas - San Antonio, Dallas and Houston. The approach allows Puro Tejano Fierro HD to target, influence and engage with Tejano fans in each of these markets and throughout the U.S.

Puro Tejano Fierro HD weekday programming is as follows:

  • "The Bo and Jon Show" featuring J.D. "Bo Leo" Gonzalez and Jonny Ramirez from 5:30am-12pm CT.
  • Bo Corona from 12-6pm CT
  • Fierro (classic Tejano music mixed with "Puro Tejano" conjunto hits) from 6pm-5:30am CT
