2020 iHeartRadio Podcast Awards This Friday


iHeartMedia will host the second annual 2020 iHeartRadio Podcast Awards streaming live from the iHeartRadio Theater Los Angeles, on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 8 p.m. PT via LiveXLive and on iHeartMedia broadcast radio stations nationwide.

The awards will include appearances by award nominees, celebrity presenters and other special guests including Will Ferrell, Sebastian Maniscalco, Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon, Becca Tilley, Brooke Burke, Brooks Laich, Dean Unglert, Eric Winter and Roselyn Sanchez, Gavin DeGraw, Kaitlyn Bristowe, Meghan King Edmonds, Nick Viall, Stassi Schroeder, Teddi Mellencamp and Yeardley Smith as well as podcast nominees, Aaron Mahnke, Holly Frey, Jake Brennan, Josh Clark and Chuck Bryant, plus many more. In addition, the event will feature iHeartRadio on-air personalities, Tanya Rad, Ellen K, Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee and DJ Envy of The Breakfast Club, Elvis Duran and Enrique Santos.

The iHeartRadio Podcast Awards span 30 categories and celebrate the incredible talent and wide variety of leaders across the booming podcasting industry. A number of categories will be awarded during the one-hour live show including Best Crime Podcast, Best Overall Host and Podcast of The Year among others. In addition, five categories will be awarded on the red carpet prior to the live show including Best Branded, Best Kids & Family, Best Fiction, Best Beauty & Fashion, and Best Food. The iHeartRadio Podcast Awards also recently announced the recipients of the three Icon Awards, paying tribute to the creators, organizations and podcasts that have made groundbreaking contributions to podcasting's expanding role in today's popular culture. This year's Icon Award recipients included New York Times' "1619" podcast with the Social Impact Award, NPR's "Life Kit" podcast with the Innovator Award Presented by Zoom, and Tenderfoot TV's Payne Lindsey and Donald Albright with the Audible Audio Pioneer Award.
