Sports WFAN-AM & FM/New York has announced a strategic partnership with creator-led digital sports company Jomboy Media to bring its content to broadcast radio for the first time.
Beginning Saturday, September 13 at 2pm ET, WFAN will air a weekly one-hour program featuring highlights from Jomboy Media's "Talkin' Yanks," including its popular awards segment, along with standout moments from across the company's digital network. The show will focus primarily on the New York Yankees, while also incorporating league-wide coverage, with plans to expand into additional sports content in the future.
"WFAN and Jomboy Media both are committed to bringing Yankees fans the most relevant and engaging content of their favorite team whenever and wherever they want to consume it," said Chris Oliviero, Chief Business Officer and New York Market President, Audacy. "Together, the combined influence and reach of both brands will elevate the experience for the pinstripe faithful and shine an even greater spotlight on New York's all-time pastime, baseball."
"WFAN is one of the most influential platforms in sports media, and partnering with them is a meaningful step in Jomboy Media's growth," added Courtney Hirsch, CEO of Jomboy Media. "This collaboration lets us remain true to our roots while connecting with new audiences who are just as passionate about sports as we are."
