Kelly Sutton to Host New WSM Morning Show

WSM has announced the launch of The Kelly Sutton Show, with Kelly Sutton taking over weekday mornings beginning Monday, August 10. The new live, local program will air from 6-10am CT from studios just steps away from the Grand Ole Opry stage in Nashville.

Sutton will be joined by longtime broadcaster Charlie Mattos and Annie Ney as the station continues its tradition of locally produced programming. She succeeds the Coffee, Country & Cody morning show, where she spent the past five years as co-host alongside the late Bill Cody.

Sutton, the first woman to serve as a Grand Ole Opry announcer, said she is honored to continue WSM's legacy. She credited Cody as both a mentor and close friend, saying her time on Coffee, Country & Cody has been one of the greatest privileges of her career.

WSM General Manager Eric Marcum said Sutton's passion for country music and the relationships she has built with artists and listeners make her the ideal choice to lead the station's morning lineup. He added that the new show will continue WSM's tradition of authentic Nashville storytelling, a hallmark of the station and the Grand Ole Opry for more than a century.

In addition to her new morning role, Sutton also hosts the nationally syndicated three-hour Country music magazine program, Y'all Access with Kelly Sutton.
