UWA Inks Broadcast Agreement with iHeartMedia Seattle

The University of Washington Athletics Department and multimedia rightsholder Huskies Sports Properties, have announced a new five-year broadcast agreement with iHeartMedia's KJR (Sports Radio 950)/Seattle, effective through the 2024-2025 athletic season. The deal features coverage for all Huskies sports including men's basketball, women's basketball and football game broadcasts. Full promotional support will also be provided on sister stations KJR (1050), KJR-FM-HD2 and KJAQ (96.5 Jack FM).
Beginning this fall, Husky men's basketball will broadcast on KJR (950) and KJR-FM-HD2 (95.7). Women's basketball play-by-play will continue to be heard on KKNW-AM (1150) for the 2020-21 season. KJR (1090) will air a select number of women's basketball games during the 2020-21 season with a full schedule of women's hoops game broadcasts airing on the station beginning with the 2021-22 season.
Tony Castricone will return this fall for his third season of calling play-by-play for Husky football and his fourth calling men's basketball. Fans can also hear his original Huskies content on demand on the "GoHuskies Podcast," which can be found on www.gohuskies.com.
In addition, KJR will air a variety of Huskies sports programming including expanded football pre- and postgame programming, weekly program features with UW coaches and the voice of the Huskies, Tony Castricone and a monthly program highlighting all UW Husky athletic programs.
