KWSX/Stockton Extends Deal with University of The Pacific

iHeartMedia Sports KWSX-AM (FOX Sports AM1280)/Stockton, CA, inks an extension of its broadcast agreement with the University of the Pacific. The station will continue to broadcast the university's men's and women's Pacific Tiger basketball games through the 2020-2021 basketball season.

During the 2020-2021 collegiate season, all Pacific Tiger men's basketball games and now select women's basketball games will air on FOX Sports AM1280. Also, longtime Pacific Tigers broadcaster Zack Bayrouty will continue to be the sports commentator for all men's basketball games. Additionally, their coach, former NBA standout Damon Stoudamire was named the West Coast Conference Coach of the Year.

"We're excited to extend our broadcast agreement with the University of the Pacific. Fox Sports AM1280 will continue to be the flagship station for the Pacific Tigers, allowing listeners and fans in the community to never miss a beat," said iHeartMedia Central California Area President Steve Darnell.

"We are thrilled to continue our partnership with iHeartMedia and Fox Sports for the upcoming basketball seasons," added Senior Associate Director of athletics for internal affairs Wes Yourth. "With setups looking different across the board this year, the delivery of a smooth broadcast to our fans is essential, so having the iHeart team onboard will allow us to guarantee a stimulating experience for all who tune in."
