Sad to report that AAA WZEW (92.1 The ZEW)/Mobile radio personality Lee Ann Camp has died after a battle with cancer, reports AL.com. Host Gene Murrell posted on the station's Facebook page that Camp had died on Monday morning while surrounded by family. "There are no words to express how much she will be missed," he wrote.

Camp and her husband, Tim Camp, both fixtures at WZEW-FM, aired in a variety of on-air slots including a morning show called "TLC" (Tim and Lee Ann Camp). The couple have two children, 12 and 15.

AL.com says she begun experiencing back pain in late September and initially believed it to be caused by muscle strain from Hurricane Sally cleanup work. But tests established she was suffering from advanced cancer. Her illness was first publicly revealed on December 1, when she was moved to intensive care. According to a GoFundMe drive launched to help her family with medical expenses, she was later moved to hospice care.
