Premiere Networks announced Thursday that BIN: Black Information Network's national news service has been added to the newly-launched KBLA (Talk 1580) in Los Angeles, the only Black-owned and operated talk radio station in Southern California. KBLA, which launched at midnight on Juneteenth 2021, features BIN's 60-second newscasts at the top and bottom of the hour.
The station will also feature breaking news, from award-winning Black journalists, including Tanita Myers, Chris Thompson, Lauren Crawford, Rey Harris, Jelisa Chatman, Vanessa Tyler, Mike Stevens, Madelyn Woods, Julius White, Morgyn Wood, Esther Dillard, Andrea Coleman, Mike Moore, Teri McCready, Zuri Anderson, Cherranda Smith and Ryan Shepard.
"We're excited to partner with Black Information Network News," said KBLA (Talk 1580) President/COO Elston Butler. "We knew it would deliver the trusted news and information that is valuable to our listeners. Other news sources offered KBLA a nice piece of the news pie, but with BIN, we felt we would receive the whole recipe that our listeners deserve."
With the addition of KBLA, BIN: Black Information Network is now heard in every top 10 U.S. market, along with 40 other affiliates.
