Stephens Media's KTMT/Medford debuted a new CCM format on July 14 at noon under the new moniker "Joy 93.7." The station, which had been CHR until that format moved and rebranded to "Hits 93.3" last Friday. The station will feature Kevin & Taylor in the morning, with Mekela Rae taking over afternoon drive. Gary Thompson will host middays with "Keep The Faith" airing from 7-Midnight.
"This station became a reality at a grassroots level. Businesses started telling us they wanted a station like this where they could advertise and be a part of a local Christian music station. That's how it all began," said Market Manager Joe Mussio.
"We're excited to bring a local, commercial CCM station to the Rogue Valley," stated SVP Programming Bob Thornton, "We've made a commitment to the local business and church communities, and look forward to connecting with families across the region. Mekela in particular is going to be a fabulous ambassador for the station in Medford, with more coming to the team soon."
The station's programming will be overseen by SVP Programming Bob Thornton and SMG CCM Branding Manager Jeremiah Richardson.
