Spanish Broadcasting System flips WRAZ-FM/Miami to "Salsa 106.3," targeting South Florida's young Hispanic adults. Salsa 106.3 is airing a wide variety of salsa, in the tropical format including music from Marc Anthony, Willy Chirino, Oscar D' Leon and other salsa sounds from artists such as Luis Vazquez, Frankie Negron and more. Salsa 106.3 becomes the second SBS Radio outlet broadcasting a market-specific version of the "Z93" format, a sister station in Puerto Rico.

"We are very excited to introduce Salsa 106.3 FM to South Florida," stated SBS Miami EVP of Local Media for SBS Radio, TV and Digital Operations, VP & GM Donny Hudson. "With this refreshing of the brand and format we will meet the needs of the wide variety of Hispanics in South Florida that love the tropical genre Salsa."

"Our extensive research in the Miami-Ft. Lauderdale market has confirmed that this covered segment was looking for a distinct format that fits the diversity, passion and energy of one of the hottest cities in America," stated SBS Radio EVP of Programming Jesus Salas. "We are certain Salsa 106.3FM will become an instant favorite in South Florida for all the Salsa lovers."

A new talent line-up will be announced in the coming days.
