Chris Harris Named PD of Radio One's WIZF and WCKX

Radio One appoints veteran radio programmer Chris Harris as Program Director for stations in Cincinnati and Columbus, OH. In his return to the company, Harris will become PD for WIZF (101.1)/Cincinnati and WCKX (107.5-106.3)/Columbus. Previously, Harris worked for several different organizations including Carter Broadcast Group's KPRS/Kansas City, Howard University Radio's WHUR/Washington DC, WGFT a Y-Town Broadcasting network and the Black Information Network with iHeartMedia.

Harris began his radio career in 2002 when he accepted a position with Radio One as a promotions assistant/web coordinator for WMMJ/Washington, DC. By 2010, he was working as a Music Director and programming assistant for WMMJ and WKYS.

"It feels great to bring Chris back home to the Radio One family. He has a lot of passion for the business and we look forward to having him in Cincinnati and Columbus," said Radio One Senior Vice President of Programming Colby Tyner.

"I'm excited to be going back to where it all started for me 20 years ago at Radio One. I'm excited for this new chapter in my professional career," remarked Harris. "I'm looking forward to working and learning from Colby. I'm also excited to be working with Dan Abercrombie, Kimberly Kyle, Eddie Harrell, Jr., and the all-star programming teams at The Wiz and Power as we continue to grow and build both brands."
