Longtime iHeartMedia WDIA-AM/Memphis Program Director and morning personality Bobby O'Jay died Tuesday, May 3 of unknown causes. He was 68. Originally from Batesville, MS, O'Jay first got his start in Montgomery, AL and from there went on to Milwaukee, Houston, Dallas and Chicago, before landing his dream job in February, 1983 in Memphis. O'Jay was inducted into the Tennessee Radio Hall Of Fame in 2021 joining legendary broadcasters such as Rufus Thomas, Nat D. Williams and Bev Johnson.
