WPOR/Portland, ME Ups Jon Shannon to Program Director

Longtime WPOR/Portland, Me morning host and Music Director Jon Shannon is promoted to Program Director for the Saga Country outlet and Classic Country WZAN-W268CS (970 AM and 101.5 The Outlaw). He succeeds Jonathan "JR" Ruppel, who left at the end of May to become Director of Content for Townsquare Media's cluster in Lansing, MI. Shannon has been with the station for a whopping 26 years, with 21 of those in mornings, an position he will continue.
