KNX Names Alex Silverman Director/News and Programming

Alex Silverman

Alex Silverman joins KNX (News 97.1 FM) in Los Angeles as Director of News and Programming, effective September 19. He previously served as Brand Manager of sister KYW (Newsradio 103.9 FM & 1060 AM) in Philadelphia since 2018. Before that, Silverman was Assistant Director of News and Programming at WCBS-AM in New York, joining in 2011. From 2010-11, he was a reporter and anchor at KIRO-FM in Seattle, and from 2008-10, he was a reporter and morning news anchor at WSYR-AM in Syracuse, NY.

"Alex has led two of our company's leading news brands to newfound success and industry-wide recognition," said Audacy Southern California Regional President Jeff Federman. "We look forward to welcoming him to the team and further establishing KNX as the go-to news source for Southern Californians."
