SummitMedia Names Todd Johnson to Lead Richmond, Wichita

SummitMedia appoints Todd Johnson to oversee its clusters in Richmond, VA and Wichita, KS. He's served as President of the Wichita cluster since 2020 and adds the five stations and digital assets in Richmond to his duties. Johnson began his career in broadcasting at KICT (95)/Wichita in 1986 and worked for Great Empire Broadcasting until 2003. He was a Sales Manager for the Wichita Eagle, General Manager for KGSO and KQAM and Local Sales Manager at KWCH. He returned to radio in 2016 when he was named GSM at Scripps in Wichita and GM by SummitMedia in 2020.

"Todd has done an outstanding job developing our Wichita cluster and I am confident he will bring the same passion, dedication and leadership to Richmond," said Summit Chairman and CEO Carl Parmer.

"I'm honored to assume this new role for SummitMedia and expand my role in the company," added Johnson. "I look forward to working with a new team of broadcast and digital experts, while enhancing the products and services we deliver to our clients."
