Dakota Tucker to Become GM of Eagle Radio/Great Bend KS

Eagle Communications/Great Bend, KS will elevate 10-year company vet Dakota Tucker to General Manager in January, 2024. He'll assume the GM post from Matt Althouse, who became GM in August, 2021, and has accepted a position with Eagle in Hutchinson, KS. Eagle operates KVGB (1590 & 95.5), KHOK (100.7 Eagle Country), KVGB (B104.3 The Point), KGBL (Hits 106.9) and the Great Bend Post website.
According to the Great Bend Post, Tucker grew up in St. John, attended Pratt Community College and Fort Hays State University to study marketing and communications. After FHSU, he accepted a parttime position at Eagle Radio in Great Bend as a board operator for Eagle's coverage of local sports. That gig led to a fulltime job handling on-air production and eventually a career in sales.
"I did a little programming work on 104.3," said Tucker. "I had the opportunity to step over into the sales side. It was a seamless transition from one side of the hall, so to speak, to the other. It's been an incredible journey."
