KPWR (Power 106)/Los Angeles midday host Bryhana Monegain is suing 50 Cent for allegedly throwing a microphone at her head during a concert last summer, leaving her with "severe and permanent injuries," reports Entertainment Weekly. In a complaint filed Thursday in Los Angeles Super Court, Monegain claims 50 Cent (aka Curtis Jackson) of negligence and demands a jury trial.

According to EW, while on stage Crypto.com Arena last August, the rapper grew frustrated after he was handed two defective microphones, prompting him to hurl one into the audience. Monegain's complaint says the mic hit her in the face and wrist, after which she was taken to a hospital by ambulance and treated for injuries, including "a concussion and laceration over her forehead and pain in her left wrist." The whole incident was captured on video that made the rounds on social media at the time.

According to TMZ, Monegain filed a police report after the incident but no criminal charges were planned as of last November. Monegain is suing for all special damages incurred, including hospital and medical expenses, and attorney fees, among other prayers for relief.

"No matter who the assailant is, this alleged act of negligence and violence is unacceptable and we will hold 50 Cent and his co-defendants accountable for their alleged actions," Monegain's attorneys John Morgan and Casey Kilday said in a statement provided to EW.
