WIP-FM Goes Across the Pond for Phillies London Games

WIP-FM (SportsRadio 94WIP)/Philadelphia, the flagship station of the Philadelphia Phillies, is heading to London to broadcast Major League Baseball's London Series as the Phillies take on the New York Mets June 8 and 9. To celebrate the weekend, "The WIP Morning Show" will also broadcast two live shows from Passyunk Avenue, London's Philadelphia-themed bar, on Friday, June 7 and Monday, June 11 in partnership with Phans of Philly.

The broadcasts, which will air both days starting at 11am local London time (6am ET), will welcome surprise guests as the station celebrates the hometown Phillies, including former Phillies players and World Series champions Cole Hamels and Matt Stairs.

Owned and operated by former South Philadelphia natives, Passyunk Avenue is regarded as the premier location for Philly fans to socialize and support the team while in England. Passyunk Avenue will have a series of great events all week including tailgates, bus tours and local Philly foods.
