Roberts Metro Broadcasting's Adult R&B K295CQ (Foxy 106.9) in St. Louis and KXBS-HD3 in Bethalto, IL, has announced the death of morning co-host and longtime St. Louis personality Tammie Holland. Holland, aged 53, succumbed to a long battle with colon cancer. She joined Foxy 106.9 at its launch in December, 2023. Her career began in the mid-90s as an intern and weekend host at KMJM (Majic 108).

Over the years, Holland contributed her talents to KDHX, KSDK-TV and Roberts' WRBU-TV before returning to KMJM (Magic 104.9) in 2004. There, she co-hosted mornings with Tony Scott, staying through the station's 2012 move to 100.3 and its 2014 rebranding to Classic Hip Hop "100.3 The Beat." In 2016, she transitioned to the midday slot when the station shifted to Hip Hop, a role she held until her departure in 2020.

The station shared this heartfelt message: "It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tammie Holland, the beloved co-host of the Real Breakfast Crew on Foxy 106.9. Tammie was a kind, charming, and infectious presence who brought joy to countless listeners. Her signature laugh will be remembered forever. As a media veteran, she touched many lives through her work in radio, TV, acting, and podcasting. Our deepest condolences go out to Tammie's loved ones. May she rest in peace and continue to inspire us all."

In honor of Tammie Holland, Foxy 106.9 will dedicate its programming on Monday, July 22, from 8am-5pm to her memory. The station will play inspirational songs, share memories, and broadcast messages from influential figures in her life. Listeners are invited to share their favorite memories and stories about Tammie on the station's Facebook or Instagram page @Foxy1069FM.

Program Director Don 'DJ Wrekk 1' Williams expressed, "We are devastated to lose our dear friend and colleague. Tammie was more than just a talented broadcaster - she was a kind, compassionate, and generous soul who touched countless lives through her work. In addition to the on-air tribute, we will be working closely with Tammie's family to provide support during this difficult time. As we remember Tammie's life and legacy, we take comfort in knowing that her spirit will continue to live on through the countless lives she touched and the memories she created."
