After nearly 30 years with iHeartMedia and its predecessor, Clear Channel, Tom McConnell, a Division and Region President who has overseen multiple markets, is retiring. To fill the post, iHeartMedia is appointing two longtime company leaders as Division Presidents as part of a realignment of the company's Markets Group, led by Hartley Adkins. McConnell will continue to serve as a consultant following his retirement.

In an internal memo, iHeartMedia stated, "The media world continues to change rapidly, and we are fully committed to leading the way, continually strengthening our position as the audio industry leader by evolving our assets and cutting-edge technology solutions, and adapting to meet the changing needs of our marketing and advertising partners."

As part of the realignment, Houston Region President Eddie Martiny will assume a Division President role overseeing major markets in Texas, including San Antonio, Dallas, Austin and Houston, as well as New Orleans and Baton Rouge in Louisiana.

At the same time, Executive Vice President of Strategic Partnerships John Karpinski will become Division President for markets in the Carolinas, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Memphis, and Kentucky's Louisville and Lexington. Karpinski will continue to lead iHeartMedia's Market Tier 3 Automotive business at the corporate level.

The memo concluded by highlighting the company's plans for future growth: "With our leadership across the audio industry, this modernization of our organizational structure, combined with our technology and support, positions us strongly to take full advantage of our assets, technologies, and platforms. We're excited for the next stage of our growth and thank you all for your dedication."
