The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) appoints of Daryl Mintz as its new Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, effective November 18. Mintz previously spent over two decades in financial leadership positions across several prominent organizations. In his new role at CPB, he will oversee the organization's financial operations, including administrative, human resources, and treasury functions.

"Daryl is an accomplished financial officer with decades of experience who will bring significant value to CPB, helping us effectively steward the federal appropriation for public media," said CPB President and CEO Patricia Harrison.

Mintz's career began at Wiss & Company, a public accounting firm, after earning his degree in accounting from Rutgers University. He joined Sesame Workshop in 1999, where he rose to Chief Financial Officer by 2010. During his tenure, he was responsible for the organization's financial operations, technology and facilities functions.

Following his time at Sesame Workshop, which ended in 2022, Mintz served as the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer for the Robin Hood Foundation, a major New York City philanthropic organization focused on fighting poverty. Most recently, he held the position of Chief Financial and Strategy Officer at The Second City, the renowned comedy institution.

Mintz succeeds William Tayman, who retired in April after serving as CPB's CFO since 2006. Mintz stated, "I am looking forward to joining the dynamic team at CPB and returning to a role that will allow me to contribute to the ongoing success of public media."
