She expressed gratitude to President Biden for appointing her to lead the agency during a transformative period when communications technology became central to everyday life.
Taking office during the COVID-19 pandemic, Rosenworcel highlighted key initiatives she championed. These include:

- Prioritizing national security and public safety in communications policy.
- Launching the FCC's first-ever Space Bureau to support U.S. leadership in the evolving space industry.
"I am proud to have served at the FCC alongside some of the hardest working and dedicated public servants I have ever known," she said, crediting her colleagues for achieving significant milestones during her tenure.
Rosenworcel also expressed appreciation for her family, acknowledging their sacrifices during her public service. She said she looks forward to spending more time with them and her rescue dog after stepping down.
