Apple has unveiled three new live global radio stations on Apple Music: Apple Musica Uno, Apple Music Club and Apple Music Chill. These additions join Apple Music 1, Apple Music Hits, and Apple Music Country, and are available for free without a subscription through Apple Music Radio.
"Apple Music Radio is the beating heart of our service," said Oliver Schusser, Apple's vice president of Music, Sports, and Beats. "These stations are bespoke, highly curated, and hosted by some of the world's best music commentators, delivering programming our listeners will love."
Apple Musica Uno highlights the diversity of Latin music, covering genres such as reggaeton, Musica Mexicana, and Latin pop. The station is hosted by renowned artists and personalities, including Becky G, Rauw Alejandro, and Grupo Frontera. The station's debut will feature Bad Bunny's latest track, "EL CLuB." Becky G expressed excitement about her role, saying, "I hope fans will tune in, laugh with us, enjoy some great music, and leave feeling inspired."
For fans of electronic music and club culture, Apple Music Club offers a continuous mix of tracks and DJ sets. The station kicks off with Inner City's "Big Fun" and features exclusive mixes from artists like Jamie xx, Honey Dijon, and FKA twigs. "My show captures some of the best moments from The Floor, a club I hosted in London," said Jamie xx, reflecting on his contribution to the station.
Apple Music Chill provides a tranquil listening experience, blending chill tracks with mindful interludes. The station launches with Beck's cover of George Harrison's "Be Here Now" and features curated programs from Brian Eno and Stephan Moccio. "My radio show is a chance to share the quieter, more mysterious side of music," said Eno.
Zane Lowe, Apple Music's global creative director and anchor for Apple Music 1, emphasized the unique nature of the service. "In a world of AI and algorithms, Apple Music Radio is live and real. It's a shared event, and we're excited to bring this broader experience to listeners worldwide."
