iHeartMedia/San Diego Raises $437K for Rady Children's Hospital

In a show of community support, iHeartMedia San Diego's eight radio outlets successfully concluded their seventh annual iHeart Rady Children's Giveathon. The event, held in partnership with Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego, spanned two days, December 11 and 12, and rallied listeners to contribute $437,264 in donations.

The Giveathon was broadcast live from the studios of Channel 93.3, Rock 105.3, Star 94.1, 101.5 KGB, Jam'n 95.7, Newsradio 600 KOGO, San Diego Sports 760 and The Patriot AM 1360. From 6am to 6pm each day, station personalities engaged audiences with interviews from former patients, physicians and families currently receiving treatment at Rady Children's Hospital.

Listeners were moved by the personal stories shared, prompting them to donate generously via phone, text and online portals. Contributions were further amplified by matches from local businesses and individuals, emphasizing the community's commitment to its youngest members.

iHeartMedia San Diego Market President Noreen Ippolito expressed gratitude for the overwhelming generosity: "The generosity of our listeners will help ensure that every child gets the best care possible, right here in our community."

The funds raised will support lifesaving medical technology and research, provide a financial safety net for children without adequate medical insurance, and help create a nurturing environment for both patients and their families at the hospital.
