KALC-FM (Alice 105.9)/Denver has concluded its 24th annual "Alice 105.9 Cares for Kids Radiothon," raising an impressive $1.1 million for Children's Hospital Colorado. This year's event has contributed to a cumulative total of over $26 million in donations since the radiothon's inception in 2001. The funds are earmarked to support advanced research, the implementation of cutting-edge technology, and the enhancement of regional clinics at Children's Colorado, a member of the Children's Miracle Network.

Mike Peterson, Vice President of Programming at Audacy Denver, expressed his gratitude and motivation behind the event, stating, "The groundbreaking research and unwavering care that Children's Hospital Colorado provides to both its patients and their families inspire us to continue raising awareness. We are deeply moved by the outpouring of love within our community. The generous donations raised will help change the lives of countless children, offering them and their families new hope and a brighter future."

The radiothon, which took place on February 13, featured 12 hours of live broadcasts from 6am to 6pm MT, was led by air personalities from "The BJ and Jamie Show" and "The Slacker Show." Broadcasted directly from Children's Hospital Colorado, the event shared moving personal stories from patients, their families, and front-line healthcare workers. Listeners were encouraged to contribute through various platforms, including phone, online and text.

Children's Hospital Colorado stands as a beacon of pediatric healthcare excellence in the region, treating more children than any other facility in a seven-state area. With a history spanning over a century, the hospital has been at the forefront of pediatric care, education, research, and advocacy. Philanthropy plays a crucial role in ensuring that every child and family has access to top-tier pediatric expertise, fueling innovative research that leads to groundbreaking treatments and cures.
