iHeartMedia is celebrating the one-year anniversary of iHeart Women's Sports, the first-ever audio platform dedicated exclusively to women's sports, with a series of events during women's basketball all-star weekend in Indianapolis. The milestone comes with the announcement that 2025 NCAA Champion and Most Outstanding Player Azzi Fudd will join the network with her own podcast, Fudd Around And Find Out, co-produced by Stephen Curry and Erick Peyton's Unanimous Media.
Launched in 2024, iHeart Women's Sports has rapidly expanded its reach and influence, growing women's sports coverage across iHeart platforms from less than 1% to more than 34% in just a year. The network now reaches 89 million monthly listeners across nearly 500 broadcast stations. Half of all new iHeart sports podcasts are now dedicated to women's sports, and downloads for the network's content rank in the top 10% of all iHeartPodcast shows.
"Women's sports is not just having a moment-it's building undeniable momentum," said Jessie Katz, Head of iHeart Women's Sports. "We launched this platform to give fans deeper access to their favorite players and stories, and we're just getting started."
The anniversary celebration, known as "Jam Sessions," includes thought-provoking panels, live podcast recordings, and a high-profile afterparty co-hosted by NYC hotspot Sei Less. Highlights include a live taping of Emmy-winning journalist Sarah Spain's Good Game, featuring Fudd, and Levels to This with Sheryl Swoopes and Terrika Foster-Brasby.
Azzi Fudd's upcoming podcast will showcase her voice beyond the court, exploring topics from sports and culture to business and personal growth. Fudd, currently finishing her MBA at the University of Connecticut, said the show will be a platform to spotlight underrepresented voices and create authentic conversations.
"I'm beyond excited to launch Fudd Around And Find Out with iHeart and Unanimous Media," said Fudd. "Whether we're talking hoops, culture, or life after the game, I want each episode to feel empowering and real."
Stephen Curry and Erick Peyton praised Fudd's evolution as both an athlete and media voice: "Azzi is a game-changer. We're proud to support her as she steps into this new chapter and continues to uplift women's sports."
The "Jam Sessions" event also features a musical performance by rapper and LSU basketball player Flau'jae and will include participation from brands such as Capital One, e.l.f. Cosmetics, e.l.f. SKIN, and Novartis.
