Former New York Governor David Paterson is joining 77WABC as the new co-host of "Left vs. Right," a weekly political debate show airing Saturdays from 4-5pm. Paterson will join host James Flippin in discussions that explore political, social, and economic issues from both sides of the aisle.

John Catsimatidis, Owner of Red Apple Media and 77WABC Radio, praised Paterson's experience and perspective. "I have known David for many years. He is a common-sense politician, with the ability to make insightful observations about national and local politics," said Catsimatidis. "David represents the Democratic perspective with a level-head and a focus on finding the common ground that unites us and moves us forward. Our listeners already know David. His entree to a regularly scheduled co-host of "Left vs. Right" will be a welcome addition to our listeners."

Paterson, who has been a frequent guest on 77WABC Radio, including appearances on "The Cats Roundtable with John Catsimatidis, Cats & Cosby with Catsimatidis and Rita Cosby," and "Sid in The Morning with Sid Rosenberg," expressed enthusiasm about his new role. "I am thrilled to be a part of the permanent WABC Radio line-up and to represent the left side of things," said Paterson. "As Americans, we have more in common than we might realize. With common sense, we can come together as Americans and New Yorkers and solve our problems."

Paterson, who served as the first legally blind governor of a U.S. state and the first African American governor of New York, brings a wealth of political experience to the program. Before his tenure as governor, he served as a New York State Senator and Senate Minority Leader, later chairing the New York Democratic Party.

"Left vs. Right" aims to provide a space for balanced political debate, highlighting differing perspectives while seeking common ground.
