CLE Podcast Drops Episodes Featuring Buchanan, Nienaber

Benztown has dropped two new episodes of its original podcast Chachi Loves Everybody, hosted by Benztown President and audio branding expert Dave "Chachi" Denes. The new installments feature in-depth, candid conversations with two well-known figures in radio: Emmy-winning KLUC host Chet Buchanan and CPR Promotions' VP of Fun and Games Paige Nienaber.

In his conversation with Buchanan, Chachi delves into the veteran morning host's early start at KRKO in Everett, WA, and how he worked his way on-air at just 16 years old. Buchanan shares how his "hustle mentality" led to stops at Z100/Portland, KUBE 93/Seattle, and Phoenix before becoming both a programmer and morning host in Salt Lake City. He also reflects on a station mishap that led to a forced resignation, his later work with the Vegas Aces and Seattle Kraken, and the critical lesson of "owning your mistakes."

Buchanan also opens up about his signature charity initiative, saying, "The 98.5 KLUC Chet Buchanan Show Toy Drive has grown to become recognized as 'The World's Largest Single Location Toy Drive.'"

In the second new episode, Chachi sits down with Paige Nienaber, known for his inventive radio promotions and consulting work. Nienaber talks about growing up in the Twin Cities, braving winter storms, and discovering the fun side of radio while working in Minneapolis.

Nienaber reveals his journey from Pepperdine University to stations like KGON, WCKZ in Charlotte, and eventually to consulting over 100 stations. He shares how he rebranded San Francisco's Wild as the "Minister of Good Times" after recovering from a heart attack, and dishes on memorable stunts-like canceling alcohol at a competitor's Christmas party.

Nienaber offers practical advice for standing out in the industry, emphasizing "the art of getting people to notice you."
