Robin Marshall, a beloved voice in radio and a veteran of the New York City market, died on Sunday, May 18, after a courageous 12-year battle with multiple forms of cancer. She was 68.
Marshall launched her radio career in 1986 at WAPP/New York, the station that would later become WQHT. She went on to work at several other iconic New York stations including WPIX-FM, WQCD-FM, and Fresh 102.7 (WWFS), often serving as the signature station voice. After leaving New York, she briefly joined WLNK in Charlotte before taking on her most recent role as Creator of Cumulus Sound Solutions in Dallas.
In her later years, Marshall relocated to Florida, where she met and married Michael Kugler, her husband of eight years. She also rekindled her love of painting, working in various mediums and exhibiting her art throughout South Florida.
Marshall is survived by Michael and her five children: Dylan, Cassidy, Brandy, Wren, and Lacey. Friends, family, and industry colleagues have been posting condolences and tributes on her Facebook page, where memories of her talent and spirit continue to be shared.
