WOVU/Cleveland Launches 'WOVU Plus' Streaming Outlet

WOVU-FM, Cleveland's Urban Alternative, has expanded its reach with the debut of WOVU Plus, a new 24/7 streaming audio outlet now available on iHeartRadio. The new stream is dedicated to classic R&B from the 1970s through the 1990s, offering listeners a steady mix of old school favorites under the station's new tagline, Cleveland's Classic R&B.

The launch of WOVU Plus extends the digital footprint of WOVU 95.9 FM, which continues to serve the local community with its mix of music, culture, and public affairs programming. Both the main broadcast and the new stream are now accessible nationwide through iHeartRadio, as well as online at wovu.org/plus.

In addition to wall-to-wall R&B and soul classics, WOVU Plus will spotlight local music history with special airings of vintage mixes by Cleveland DJ and WOVU original Rockville. The stream will also include encore broadcasts of Classic Jamz with Action Jackson, the long-running Friday night program hosted by Don "Action" Jackson, a familiar voice to Northeast Ohio audiences.
