Veteran personality Todd Pettengill will host the Broadcasters Foundation of America (BFOA) Media Mixer during this year's Morning Show Boot Camp (MSBC), taking place August 7-9 in Austin, TX. The event, scheduled for Thursday, August 7, from 5:30-7:30pm CT at the Austin Marriott Downtown's Waterloo Foyer, marks the first-ever BFOA Media Mixer held during MSBC.

Pettengill, best known as one-half of the Scott & Todd in the Morning show on WPLJ/New York, will bring his star power to the event. The show, co-hosted with legendary radio figure Scott Shannon, was a staple of New York morning radio for years. Following Shannon's departure, Pettengill continued the program under the banner The Todd Show in the Morning.

"We are in the business of entertainment and having a morning show celebrity like Todd host our Media Mixer brings star-power to the event," said Tim McCarthy, President of the BFOA. "I want to thank Todd for giving his time to helping us create more awareness about the BFOA's charitable purpose."

"Giving back to the industry that I love is an honor," added Pettengill. "I'm looking forward to having fun with a room full of colleagues who love broadcasting as much as I do."

The Broadcasters Foundation of America is the only charity solely dedicated to assisting broadcasters in acute need due to illness, accident, or other hardship. The Media Mixer aims to foster camaraderie and raise awareness for the organization's mission. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with peers, talent, and executives across the radio industry.

"This is a chance for Boot Camp attendees and broadcasters in the Austin area to join us for a meaningful and enjoyable evening," said Don Anthony, Founder of MSBC. "For most of us, broadcasting is more than a way to earn a living-it's part of our DNA."

The Media Mixer is free to attend, with registration required. The event is sponsored by Benztown.

Since launching the Media Mixers in 2023, the BFOA has hosted events in cities including New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, helping to expand awareness among younger professionals in the broadcasting field. More mixers are planned nationwide.
