iHeartMedia has unveiled ROCK 95.5, a newly rebranded Rock station serving Central Pennsylvania, effective Monday, August 4. The launch marks a frequency shift from W235BA (94.9) to 95.5 FM, expanding the station's reach with a stronger signal across the Williamsport and Lock Haven areas. It displaces Country WBYL-FM (BILL 95) on 95.5.
The move enhances coverage and clarity for listeners, delivering a more powerful Rock format that includes a blend of Classic, Alternative, and Modern Rock hits. The station will also continue to feature syndicated "Rover's Morning Glory" in the morning drive.
"We're thrilled to bring ROCK 95.5 to life with a stronger signal and a bigger attitude," said Brit Goldstein, Area President for iHeartMedia. "This move allows us to better serve our rock audience with the music and personalities they love, now with even greater clarity and coverage."
Previously, the 95.5 FM and 95.3 FM frequencies simulcasted BILL 95, a Country outlet featuring Bobby Bones. BILL 95 will continue on 95.3 FM, maintaining its country format for Central Pennsylvania audiences.
