iHeartMedia appoints Lisa Coffey to the newly created position of Chief Business Officer, bringing extensive ad tech and digital advertising experience to the role. Coffey will oversee the development, implementation, and revenue generation for the company's new Advanced Advertising Products and platforms, including programmatic solutions for broadcast radio, as part of iHeart's effort to create a scalable, addressable audio ecosystem.
Coffey most recently served as Global Chief Revenue Officer at LoopMe, where she led global revenue, partnerships, and growth strategies. She previously held leadership positions at Amazon, including Head of Business Development for Amazon Hub and Head of Agency Development, where she launched Amazon Advertising in the U.S.
Chairman and CEO Bob Pittman said Coffey's expertise will help iHeart take the next step in transforming broadcast advertising into a more digital-like product with enhanced data, attribution, and targeting capabilities.
Coffey called the role "an incredibly compelling opportunity" to modernize audio and integrate live audiences into the digital advertising ecosystem. Highlighting broadcast radio's reach - three to four times greater than any streaming service and accounting for more than two-thirds of total daily audio use - she said iHeartMedia is well-positioned to make these audiences addressable and scalable for advertisers.
She added that iHeart's local presence, brand strength, and content portfolio provide a strong foundation for building a centralized platform that unifies broadcast and streaming advertising, enabling brands to connect with audiences on both a national and local level.
