Virtual News Center has added Global One Media's northeast Nevada stations -- KUOL (Kool 94.5), KHIX (Mix 96.7), and KBGZ (Big Country 103.9) -- to its network of affiliates. As part of the partnership, Roxanne Steward will anchor daily newscasts for the Elko cluster, delivering local news tailored to the community.
Global One Media Owner Rich Hudson praised the collaboration and Steward's work. "While we've only been using the Virtual News Center service for about three months, I've been extremely impressed with Roxanne Steward as our news anchor," said Hudson. "Her delivery has been flawless - not a single complication - and it's everything I could hope for in a service designed to help smaller markets maintain a strong, local presence."
Hudson added that Steward's attention to detail, including correct local pronunciations, makes her sound "like a local voice to our listeners."
Virtual News Center CEO Joel Dearing said, "Rich Hudson is doing some fun things in Elko, and we are excited to be a part of his company's growth."
