iHeartMedia has launched "Starring: Desi Arnaz & Wilmer Valderrama," a new podcast exploring the groundbreaking career and legacy of Cuban-born entertainer Desi Arnaz. Hosted and executive produced by actor and producer Wilmer Valderrama, the 10-part weekly series is the latest project from his exclusive slate with iHeart's My Cultura Podcast Network.
The series, co-produced by Valderrama's WV Sound, revisits Arnaz's life and influence as one of television's first Latino stars, whose role in "I Love Lucy" helped reshape the medium when it premiered in 1951. Through storytelling and personal reflection, Valderrama connects Arnaz's journey to his own experiences as a Latino entertainer navigating Hollywood.
"As a young boy growing up in Venezuela, it was Desi Arnaz and his unapologetic Cuban accent on a major television show that gave me permission to dream," said Valderrama. "This podcast is a love letter to the man who revolutionized our industry."
Leo Gomez, head of iHeartMedia's My Cultura Network, added that the collaboration "celebrates one of the most influential Latino icons and gives audiences incredible insight into the depth of his impact on culture and storytelling."
My Cultura, launched in 2021 in partnership with Enrique Santos, has become a hub for Latino voices with more than 60 shows including "Chiquis and Chill," "The Moment with Jorge Ramos and Paola Ramos," and "Princess of South Beach."
"Starring: Desi Arnaz & Wilmer Valderrama" debuts today, October 15, 2025, with new episodes every Wednesday on the iHeartRadio app and all major podcast platforms.
