Remote News Service (RNS) continues its growth with the addition of six new affiliate groups across multiple markets. Connoisseur Media's Palm Springs cluster -- KNWZ-AM, KPSI-FM and KDGL-FM -- has launched news coverage with anchor John Cruz. In Wisconsin, Stace Keen joins the lineup as news anchor for Midwest Communications' WHBL-AM/FM in Sheboygan. Civic Media's WAUK-AM also adds RNS CEO and anchor Lesley Lotto as its new State News Anchor.
"Lesley and Remote News have helped us expand our state coverage and enhance our on-air sound by integrating our needs into their operation," said Chris Moreau, Regional President for Southern Wisconsin at Civic Media. "A great new resource and asset to WAUK and Civic Media's growing news presence."
In Fredericksburg, VA, RNS welcomes Telemedia's WGRX-FM and WGRQ-FM with news anchor Kristie King (McIntyre). "When our radio stations needed to improve our local news presence, Remote News Service was the perfect solution," said Director of Programming Bill Michaels. "The news is right on target-local, timely, and comes at a great price."
RNS will also begin delivering news in Reading, PA, for Treese Media Group's WEEU-AM with anchor Freddi Hammer. Additionally, Lotto returns to anchoring for Bold Gold Media in Monticello, NY, providing news for WDNB-FM, WSUL-FM, WVOS-FM and WVOS-AM.
