iHeartMedia has officially launched its annual switch to holiday programming, with more than 95 stations nationwide now broadcasting festive music around the clock. The lineup features today's biggest artists alongside timeless Christmas standards from Bing Crosby, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and others, airing 24/7 through Christmas Day.
As part of the seasonal celebration, the "iHeartRadio Holiday Special" also returns this year, hosted by Mario Lopez. The special will include interviews with Goo Goo Dolls, Gwen Stefani, Lady A, Meghan Trainor, Pentatonix, and Taylor Momsen of The Pretty Reckless, who will share stories about their favorite holiday songs, traditions, and memories. The broadcast airs November 26 at 7 p.m. local time on iHeartMedia stations nationwide and at 7 p.m. ET on Holiday Season Radio via the iHeartRadio app.
Each year, iHeartMedia converts stations in key markets to holiday music. Beyond broadcast radio, listeners can explore dozens of themed holiday channels on the iHeartRadio app across more than 500 platforms and 2,000 devices. Options include "iHeart Christmas," "North Pole Radio" hosted by Santa, "iHeart Christmas Classics," and genre-specific streams like iHeartCountry Christmas, iHeart Christmas Jazz, iHeart Christmas Rock, and iHeart Christmas R&B.
"Every holiday season, our stations set the tone with beloved festive tunes that span generations from Christmas classics to today's newest holiday songs," said Tom Poleman, Chief Programming Officer for iHeartMedia. He added that the annual Holiday Special resonates with audiences because it goes beyond the music, offering intimate artist stories that tap into the nostalgia and joy of the season.
