iHeartMedia Elevates Mike McGuinness to CFO Role

iHeartMedia elevates Executive Vice President of Finance and Deputy Chief Financial Officer Mike McGuinness to Chief Financial Officer, effective January 1, according to an SEC filing released Monday. The move shifts the long-held CFO responsibilities of Rich Bressler, who has carried the title since joining the company -- then Clear Channel Communications -- in 2013. Bressler will continue in his roles as President, COO, and CEO of the iHeartMedia Multi-Platform Group.

McGuinness, 48, joined iHeart in 2019 and has since helped lead major financial transactions, planning, analysis, compliance, reporting, and investor relations. His background includes senior finance leadership positions at The Hain Celestial Group -- where he was Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer, and Treasurer from 2016 to 2019 -- and an earlier eight-year tenure at Monster Worldwide that culminated in serving as Executive Vice President and CFO.

In a joint memo to employees, Bressler and CEO Bob Pittman praised McGuinness as "deeply respected ... by the finance, analyst and investor communities," noting that his expertise, integrity, and leadership made the promotion "extremely well-deserved."

In his new role, McGuinness will oversee all accounting, tax, financial planning, reporting, shared services, treasury, real estate, and investor relations functions for the company. He will report directly to Bressler.

The promotion comes with a revised employment agreement extending through June 30, 2030, and includes a $1.2 million annual base salary, annual bonus potential of 150% of base pay, and $1.5 million in annual long-term incentive grants.

iHeart recently extended Bressler's contract through December 31, 2029, allowing him to focus exclusively on operational leadership at the nation's largest radio broadcaster.
