The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation (AWMF) has named actress Andie MacDowell as the recipient of the Gracies Icon Award, with Yvette Nicole Brown set to host the 51st Annual Gracie Awards Gala on May 19 in Beverly Hills. The event will take place at the Beverly Wilshire and will feature a performance by four-time Grammy-nominated artist Mickey Guyton.

The Gracies Icon Award recognizes a woman whose career has made a lasting impact beyond entertainment, honoring a body of work defined by authenticity, resilience, and influence on how women are represented in media.

MacDowell, a four-time Golden Globe nominee, rose to prominence with her role in Sex, Lies, and Videotape and has since starred in films including Green Card, Groundhog Day, and Four Weddings and a Funeral. More recently, she earned a Golden Globe nomination for her role in the Netflix series Maid and currently appears in Hallmark's The Way Home.

AWMF President Becky Brooks said MacDowell's career has helped open doors for women across the industry, citing her longevity and influence.

Brown, a two-time Emmy-nominated actress known for her role in Community, will serve as host. She said the role carries personal significance, noting her first Gracie Award was her first acting honor and that she returns this year as both a host and a winner for her podcast Squeezed.

The Gracie Awards support AWMF's mission to advance women in media through educational programs, scholarships, and other initiatives aimed at fostering leadership and career development.
