Urban One Dallas has named Yonni Rude Operations Manager, overseeing programming for the company's three Dallas-Fort Worth radio brands: KBFB (97.9 The Beat), KRNB (Smooth 105.7) and KKDA (K104). Rude moves to Dallas after spending the past three years as Program Director for Urban One's Houston stations KBXX (97.9 The Box), KMJQ (Majic 102.1) and KROI (Praise Houston).
Before his Houston assignment, Rude served as Executive Producer of Reach Media's nationally syndicated hip-hop morning program "The Morning Hustle." His career also includes positions with Urban One/Radio One in Richmond, Detroit and Cleveland, along with programming leadership roles in Charleston, SC, and Fayetteville, NC.
"I'm very pleased to have Yonni join the team as we grow our presence in Dallas-Fort Worth," said Urban One Vice President/General Manager Maurice Potts. "Yonni brings the leadership and operational experience we need as we continue to build in the market."
Rude said he is excited to lead the Dallas team and build on the heritage of its three stations. "KBFB, KKDA, and KRNB are three brands with tremendous history, talent, and connection to the community," he said. "I'm looking forward to building on that legacy, developing great people, and creating the next chapter together."
