Premiere Networks-syndicated host Glenn Beck announced a personal $5 million donation to Mercury One during the nonprofit's 15th anniversary gala in Irving, TX.
The contribution will go to the organization's Maximum Impact Fund, which provides flexible funding for urgent humanitarian needs. According to Mercury One, the fund also helps sustain its commitment to directing all designated donations to their intended recipients.
Beck, who founded Mercury One, highlighted the organization's humanitarian work during the event, including assistance for persecuted Christians in Nigeria. He called for greater awareness of religious persecution and additional support for communities facing violence and displacement.
"We need eyes to be opened. We need countries to be opened. We need the United States to take a bold stand on this, as well," Beck said in a recent Christian Post interview about the organization's efforts.
The donation will support Mercury One's relief and rescue initiatives, which have included U.S. disaster response and international humanitarian missions through partners such as The Nazarene Fund.
