After 20 years, Jack Murphy, host of "Murphy in the Morning," is out at 107.5 WKZL/Greensboro. FOX 8 WGHP reports Murphy confirmed the news to them. His last day at the station was Friday. Murphy said, "It's true, I'm not with the station anymore. I had 20 great years there with fantastic ratings. Never failed to hit a bonus in 18-34 or 25-54 adults. So, it's not a ratings issue." He added, "I'm very proud of our time at WKZL. We've raised over $1 million for 'Murphy's Kids' and had a lot of fun along the way."
Monday morning debuted "The 'KZL Morning Show With Jared, Katie and Whitney" although no further information was offered by WKZL regarding Murphy's abrupt departure. Murphy plans to continue doing voice over work for over 50 stations across the country.
