KFYI-AM/Phoenix Adds Rob Hunter to Mornings

KFYI-AM (NewsTalk 550)/Phoenix taps Rob Hunter to host "The KFYI Download," a news magazine program that will air weekdays at 5am. He'll also join "The Mike Broomhead Show," serving as news anchor. Hunter is a radio veteran that's worked in the News/Talk format for the past 15 years, with previous experience in Hip Hop, AC, Rock and Sports. He joins KFYI from crosstown rival KTAR-FM.

"Rob is a great addition to KFYI mornings," said Program Director Neil Larrimore. "He is smart, versatile and a solid professional. As soon as we heard he was available, we had to snatch him up."

"I'm beyond thrilled to begin the next chapter of my career at KFYI, one of the country's great News/Talk stations and to becoming part of the vast iHeartMedia family," added Hunter. "I'm looking forward to working closely with KFYI's award winning newsroom, with talk show host Mike Broomhead and with the Valley's early morning risers."
