iHeartMedia San Francisco announced today the debut of Chino & Christie in the Morning on 98.1 KISS FM, beginning Monday, September 14. The move will coincide as Bay Area radio icon, Renel Brooks-Moon will end her daily San Francisco morning show on KISQ-FM today. She will continue to have close involvement with 98.1 KISS FM and host her daily "Renel's Record Party" feature, which will move to 12-1:00 p.m. PT

Chino & Christie in the Morning will feature Chino Iglesias (pictured), who has been hosting afternoon drive for the past seven years at KYLD-FM, Wild 94.9 and Christie James, who has been Renel's co-host since 2011. The new show will broadcast weekdays from 6-10:00 a.m. PT.

"Renel is a morning staple in the Bay and we appreciate that her expanding obligations outside of iHeartMedia don't make it possible for her to host a daily, live morning show in the future. However, we're thrilled to have her remain on the station with her popular "Renel's Record Party" feature," said Don Parker, Senior Vice President of Programming, iHeartMedia San Francisco. "As we began the search for the next great KISS morning show, it was obvious we already had the ideal personalities. Christie is an amazing talent who has been co-hosting with Renel for nearly five years and is already part of the KISS listener's morning routine. Chino is one of the best major market personalities in the country and well established in San Francisco from his seven years in PM Drive on KYLD. With his prior morning show experience, passion for the Bay, and the chemistry between him and Christie, we look forward to big things to come with Chino & Christie."
