Spanish Broadcasting System/Puerto Rico confirms that it will not renew the talent contract of Angelique "La Burbu" Burgos, who was part of the "El Goldo y La Pelua" show on CHR WMEG-FM (La Mega 106.9/95.1) /Guayama, PR. SBS made the decision after Burgos did not return to work more than a month after the expiration of her maternity period, which is considered leaving her position.
"With these data we intend to carry the correct information related to the departure of Mrs. Burgos from the program 'The Goldo and The Pelua' and clarify that our company has always respected and defended the rights of all our staff because their welfare is our priority," said VP/Human Resources Maggie Necega. "For us it was a difficult decision but we understand that the abandonment of employment is a serious matter which merited the corresponding actions."
