Brian Shactman Joins 1080 WTIC/Hartford Morning Show

Entercom has announced the addition of Brian Shactman as morning show co-host for 1080 WTIC News Talk in Hartford. Shactman will join co-host Ray Dunaway on "Mornings with Ray and Brian," weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. ET, effective immediately.

"I'm excited to welcome Brian back to Connecticut to join our morning show program alongside Ray Dunaway," said Stephanie Perl, Senior Vice President and Market Manager, Entercom Hartford. "He has a proven track record of entertaining and capturing his audience, and his energy will be a great addition to our show."

"I have been listening to Ray for years, and WTIC is always my first stop when I get in the car," said Shactman. "To now be a part of the WTIC team is an absolute thrill. Connecticut - the whole state - is a community. WTIC is a huge part of that community, and I am excited to help people start their day in this great state."

Shactman joins Entercom after serving as an anchor for NBC10 Boston and New England Cable News since 2014. He most recently created and hosted "Primary Source," a nightly political show focusing on the presidential primary and has also anchored weekend evenings on NBC10 Boston since the onset of the pandemic. Prior to that, Shactman held on-air roles for MSNBC, CNBC, NBC owned-and-operated television station in Connecticut, and ESPN. Among his career awards and accomplishments is a 2003 Associated Press Award for his documentary on legendary UConn coach Geno Auriemma, as well as a national Emmy Award nomination in 2012.
