Rashad Richey, who has been a prominent morning host at News/Talk WAOK-AM (1380)/Atlanta, announced his departure to launch a syndicated radio show, reports Rodney Ho with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Richey's last day on WAOK was Tuesday.

In a statement posted on Instagram on Wednesday, Richey expressed his gratitude to his WAOK listeners for their support throughout his tenure, saying, "This is not goodbye but rather an opportunity to expand a platform of truth. WAOK is in my heart, and I love every single one of you."

While he transitions to this new venture, Richey will continue to host his weekend show on SiriusXM's Urban View, Channel 126. He will also maintain his role as the host of the syndicated daily TV show "Indisputable with Dr. Richey" and its accompanying podcast.

In addition to his work in media, Richey is known as a political analyst, legal scholar, and professor. He is also a managing partner at the law firm Richey & Wilson, known as the Fairness Firm.
