Devan Kaney has exited SportsRadio 94.1 WIP in Philadelphia following a new round of layoffs by parent company Audacy, according to multiple media reports. Kaney joined WIP in 2022 and was a regular contributor to the station's morning show alongside Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie. She later expanded her role, becoming the sideline reporter for Philadelphia Eagles radio broadcasts during the 2024 season, succeeding Howard Eskin after his departure.
"I had a blast working at WIP and sincerely enjoyed my time there," Kaney said, adding, "when one door closes, another opens."
Despite her exit from WIP, Kaney is expected to remain in the Philadelphia market and will continue her role as a weekend anchor at Fox 29. Reports indicate she could still return to Eagles broadcasts, as that role was separate from her station employment.
Sources cited in the reports say the layoffs impacted multiple employees across Audacy's Philadelphia cluster, which includes stations such as KYW Newsradio, WPHT, WOGL, and others.
Philadelphia was not the only market affected. Additional layoffs were reported in Seattle and Cleveland, reflecting broader workforce reductions across Audacy's operations.
