Citadel to WPRV-AM/Providence to Talk ''AM790''


Citadel will flip Oldies WPRV-AM/Providence to Talk on Monday, April 13, as "AM790." Currently home of Imus in the Morning (6-10am), the station will expand its daily lineup to include Joe Scarborough 10am-12noon), Dave Ramsey (2-5pm) and Rhode Island's only daily local financial talk show hosted by David Brochu (5:30-7pm).

AM790 will also broadcast news updates from Bloomberg Financial and Lou Dobbs as well as broadcasting play-by-play of New York Yankees and Brown University Football and Basketball.

"This historic time for our nation's economy has given Citadel Broadcasting the opportunity to meet our community's need for timely financial information and national current events," said GM Barbara Haynes. "AM790 will provide unique daily shows that speak to the changing world of finance on a national level, to our hometowns specifically and address the implication to our personal finances."
