ESPN Re-Launches ESPN Deportes in Dallas Market


ESPN is expanding to serve the Hispanic community in Dallas with the re-launch of ESPN Deportes Radio on KZMP-AM (1540), effective, June 1. "1540 AM ESPN Deportes Radio" becomes the second station operated by ESPN in the Dallas-Fort Worth market, joining KESN-FM (103.3 FM ESPN). ESPN Deportes Radio is currently heard on KNIT-AM (1480) and will continue to be simulcast on KNIT.

The re-launch of ESPN Deportes in Dallas also coincides with ESPN Radio moving to brand new studios in Las Colinas. "1540 AM ESPN Deportes" can also be heard in Dallas on 103.3-FM ESPN's HD-2 channel.

"We are extremely pleased and proud that we were able to upgrade the reach of ESPN Deportes Radio to a full market signal in the Dallas-Fort Worth market," said VP/GM Pete Dits. "We currently reach Dallas County, and the new signal on 1540 AM KZMP will allow us to reach the entire market with exclusive coverage geared toward the Hispanic sports fan."

ESPN Deportes Radio covers 45% of the U.S. Hispanic Market, and is available on 32 affiliates nationwide. In Dallas, ESPN Deportes is the only all Sports station broadcast in Spanish.
